Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Technician with NICET Level 2 certification in Water-Based Systems to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in compliance with all applicable fire codes, NFPA standards, and building regulations. Your expertise will ensure that fire protection systems operate reliably, safeguarding lives and property. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize your mechanical and electrical knowledge, and contribute to life safety initiatives through hands-on field service.

Duties

Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair fire sprinkler systems according to project specifications and safety standards.
Test wet systems, fire pumps, standpipes, PRV's, dry systems, FDC's, etc...
Conduct maintenance schedule services to commercial properties, hospitals, industrial, hospitality, multifamily apartments, retail and warehouses.
Perform inspections to verify compliance with building codes, fire codes, NFPA standards, and proprietary fire alarm control panels
Maintain detailed documentation of system inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory requirements
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform precise fire sprinkler fitting and system installation tasks
Collaborate with clients and team members to provide excellent customer service while explaining system functions and safety features

Skills

Strong knowledge of blueprint reading—mechanical, electrical, and schematic diagrams—and ability to interpret complex schematics and troubleshooting
Experience with fire alarm systems to enable fire systems.
Familiarity with low voltage electrical work, NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA standards related to sprinkler systems and fire alarms
Self motivated, and focus oriented.
Mechanical aptitude combined with hands-on experience in fire sprinkler fitting and mechanical techniques
Ability to troubleshoot engineering issues related to fire suppression systems using engineering principles and electrical experience
Knowledge fire codes/regulations governing life safety systems
Customer service skills that foster clear communication with clients regarding system operation or maintenance needs
Experience working with power tools safely in a construction or service environment
