ASSET MANAGEMENT ANALYST

J19 Investment Company

This isn't your typical analyst job.

If you're looking for a Fortune 500 company where you'll spend three years updating Excel files and waiting for someone to retire so you can get promoted, this isn't it.

If you want to help build a private equity real estate firm from the ground up, work directly with the three principals making investment decisions, and accelerate your career faster than you ever could at a large institution, keep reading.

Today, we're managing approximately $50 million in assets.

Our goal is to build that into a $1 billion real estate investment platform.

You'll be here for the growth.

Pay:

$50,000 base salary
Performance-based bonus opportunity
Significant growth potential as the company grows

This role isn't about maximizing your income in year one. It's about investing two years into building a career that most analysts spend five to ten years trying to achieve.

What you'll actually be doing

You won't be pigeonholed into one function.

You'll work directly alongside the principals and gain exposure to nearly every aspect of the investment business, including:

Underwriting acquisitions
Building and improving financial models
Reviewing property financial statements and operating performance
Budgeting and forecasting
Asset management and portfolio strategy
Capital expenditure analysis
Market research and competitive analysis
Preparing investment memorandums and presentations
Investor reporting
Visiting properties and learning how operational decisions impact investment performance

You'll have a front-row seat to how investment decisions are made.

What we're looking for

You'll succeed here if you're:

This is not a 9-to-5 job.

There will be weeks when you work 60 hours.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or a related field preferred
0–3 years of experience in real estate, finance, investment analysis, or asset management
Strong Excel skills and an interest in financial modeling
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take ownership

The Environment

This is an in-person role in downtown Austin. You'll spend your days building models, analyzing investments, attending meetings, touring properties, and learning directly from the principals of the firm.

We move fast, expect a lot from one another, and care more about results than titles.
