Job Description - Must be Spanish speaking

A Patient Registration Clerk position is available at Howerton Surgical Center in South Austin. The Patient Registration Clerk position is full time, Monday through Friday, No evenings, No Weekends. Early morning hours. Friendly work environment, competitive salary, Insurance benefits, 401K.

Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a must.

The Patient Registration Clerk is responsible for:

Warmly greeting patients, family members, vendors and other visitors to the facility.
Checking-in patients on the day of surgery
Collecting any necessary payments prior to surgery.
Making sure the patient signs and dates all necessary paperwork required prior to surgery. This may include financial responsibility documents and payment plans.
Interacting with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
Keeping visitors informed by providing proper, timely updates regarding their visit.
Preparing patient charts ensuring comprehensive completion
Working effectively with patients, physicians and staff.
Entering patient demographic information into database accurately and timely
Prioritizing work responsibilities, multi-tasking and staying on task while working with many interruptions
THCIC Data entry
Having excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly communicate with others.
A commitment to outstanding customer service.
Providing dependable, on-time attendance.
Answering phones and other supporting receptionist tasks as assigned by the Office Manager
Balancing cash drawer/daily summary sheet/order entry.
Must be able to work independently and properly communicate. There is no direct supervision.
Must be self motivated.
Must be able to manage time properly.
Early Hours; (Surgery days Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are long days)
Lunch is provided by Surgery Center on Surgery Days
Must Speak Spanish

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday
No weekends
