Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and bilingual (English/Spanish) Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through their treatment plans, coordinating appointments, and ensuring a seamless patient experience. Your expertise in dental terminology, insurance verification, and medical billing will be essential in supporting both clinical operations and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Act as the liaison between patients and the clinical team, providing clear communication regarding treatment plans and financial responsibilities.
Verify insurance coverage, including health insurance and dental plans such as Medicare, Medicaid, and private carriers.
Explain treatment options, procedures, and financial arrangements in both English and Spanish to ensure patient understanding.
Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft; coordinate follow-up visits efficiently.
Review medical records and documentation for accuracy while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA confidentiality policies.
Assist with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10) for billing purposes; ensure proper documentation review for insurance claims processing.
Support administrative functions including filing, data entry, and managing multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette.
Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries promptly and maintaining a positive clinic environment.

Requirements

Proven experience in dental office management or clinical administrative support within a dental or medical setting.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required; excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with medical billing procedures including insurance verification, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and Medicare processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting tasks.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Previous clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred; knowledge of dental terminology and clinical workflows is advantageous.
