Full Job Description

Title & Closing Processor

We are seeking a responsible, detail-oriented, and highly organized Title & Closing Processor to join our title company. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the title and closing process, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple files efficiently from opening through closing.

Key Responsibilities

Open and manage new title and closing files from inception through successful completion.
Order title searches, title commitments, and other necessary documentation required to process and close files.
Review title commitments and work diligently to clear title requirements, exceptions, and outstanding matters prior to closing.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with loan officers, real estate agents, buyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys, underwriters, and other parties involved in each transaction to ensure all deadlines and closing requirements are met.
Monitor files closely and proactively follow up with all parties to ensure closings remain on schedule.
Review and satisfy underwriter requirements and closing conditions in accordance with company and underwriting guidelines.
Order, receive, and review payoff statements for mortgages, judgments, liens, and other encumbrances affecting the property.
Work to resolve and clear liens, judgments, mortgages, and other title defects prior to closing.
Identify defective or problematic title matters and coordinate with the appropriate parties to obtain documentation necessary to cure title.
Prepare, review, and coordinate the execution of closing and title documents.
Ensure all required documents and conditions are completed accurately and timely prior to closing.
Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic files and records throughout the transaction.
Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, colleagues, real estate professionals, lenders, and other parties throughout the closing process.
Provide exceptional customer service and help create a smooth, professional closing experience for all parties.
Handle multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
Perform other title and closing-related processing duties as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

Proficiency in Qualia is required.
Bilingual proficiency is required.
Previous experience in a title company, real estate law firm, closing department, or related industry is required.
Strong understanding of the title and closing process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
Professional, dependable, and responsible work ethic.
Must be a team player who works well and respectfully with coworkers.
Friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor when interacting with clients and business partners.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the entire team.
Commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive workplace environment.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, personable, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of their files and see each transaction through to closing. This position requires someone who communicates exceptionally well, treats clients and coworkers with professionalism and respect, and can confidently manage the many moving parts involved in a real estate closing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
