Job Overview

SpringSource: Eating, Weight & Mood Disorders
Part-Time | Flexible Hours/Hybrid | Outpatient Group Practice in Chicago and Northbrook, IL

SpringSource is a growing group psychotherapy practice seeking a compassionate and collaborative Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our mental health team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician looking to supplement an existing practice, ease into private practice, or work a flexible schedule within a supportive, referral-rich environment.

SpringSource is dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health care in a warm and welcoming setting. Our team of psychologists and therapists works collaboratively to help children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families achieve meaningful and lasting change.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and patient history reviews.
Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
Manage medication regimens in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines, ensuring safe prescribing practices.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with complex needs, including those with eating disorders
Document all patient interactions accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with health regulation policies.
Offer telehealth services to extend access to mental health care for diverse populations across different settings.

Qualifications

Valid medical license and board certification in psychiatry or certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.
Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations
Proficiency in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy modalities (including cognitive behavioral therapy), and clinical psychiatry techniques.
Familiarity with healthcare policies such as HIPAA and health regulation standards; experience working within DEA regulations for controlled substances.
Prior experience in hospital or inpatient settings is highly desirable; telehealth experience is a plus.
Ability to perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, intake assessments, and diagnostic evaluations effectively.
