The Opportunity

Description

Are you an experienced Assistant Property Manager with HUD recertification experience looking for a long-term opportunity? We're seeking a motivated, organized, and customer-focused professional to join our team in Bay City, MI.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a stable property management team where you'll play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of an affordable housing community while ensuring compliance and delivering exceptional service to residents.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Full-time position

What You'll Do

Assist with the daily operations of the apartment community.
Complete annual and interim HUD recertifications accurately and on time.
Maintain resident files and ensure compliance with HUD regulations.
Process resident paperwork and maintain audit-ready documentation.
Assist with leasing activities, apartment tours, and application processing.
Welcome and assist walk-in traffic while answering incoming phone calls.
Respond to resident concerns professionally and help resolve issues.
Support the Property Manager with administrative and operational responsibilities.
Maintain accurate records using property management software.

Experience Required for Your Success

Qualifications

Required:

Previous Assistant Property Manager or Leasing experience in multifamily housing.
Experience completing HUD recertifications.
Knowledge of HUD regulations and affordable housing compliance.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

Experience with Section 8 or other affordable housing programs.
COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist) Certification.
