About Our Practice

We are a fast-paced, patient-focused podiatry practice providing care across clinic locations, hospitals, wound care centers, and assisted living facilities throughout the St. Louis area.

Our team is built on efficiency, accountability, and delivering a high standard of patient care. We are seeking a motivated and dependable Medical Assistant who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume setting and is willing to take initiative beyond basic responsibilities. This position involves exposure to both clinical and front office operations, and team members are expected to support various areas of the practice based on daily needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to gain well-rounded experience in a medical practice. Job Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

Room patients and obtain vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight, etc.)
Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures
Assist with wound care and clinical treatments
Scribe for providers during patient encounters
Review clinical notes and charges for completeness and accuracy
Ensure services rendered are accurately documented and communicated for billing
Greet and check in/check out patients
Answer incoming calls and address questions or route appropriately
Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments for new and existing patients
Follow up on missed appointments and assist with rescheduling
Verify insurance eligibility as needed
Explain patient benefits and financial responsibilities
Collect copays, balances, and payments at time of service
Assist with patient registration and ensure all required documentation is complete
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within the EMR/EHR system
Scan, upload, and manage patient documentation and medical records requests
Coordinate communication between providers, staff, and billing team to ensure smooth workflow
Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms
Assist with general office duties including faxing, scanning, and administrative support
Participate in end-of-day and end-of-month office procedures as needed
Participate in ongoing training to support high-quality patient care

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of medical office or Medical Assistant experience preferred
Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred
Basic understanding of medical terminology required
Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding is a plus
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
Willingness to travel between multiple locations (~25%)

Education

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Medical Assistant certification (preferred)

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to assist with patient movement when needed
