Full Job Description

POD Logistics is a growing transportation and logistics company seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Entry-Level Bookkeeper to join our team in Inwood, NY.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their accounting career who wants to gain hands-on experience in bookkeeping and grow with a growing company. We are looking for someone who is dependable, eager to learn, and comfortable working with numbers and financial information.

Responsibilities

Enter and maintain financial transactions accurately
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and process customer invoices
Enter and organize vendor bills
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Assist with customer and vendor account reconciliations
Monitor outstanding invoices and payments
Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
Assist with month-end bookkeeping and reporting
Use QuickBooks and Excel for daily accounting activities
Work with the operations team to resolve billing and accounting discrepancies
Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

0–2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Accounting coursework, degree, or relevant experience preferred
Basic knowledge of accounting principles
Comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets
Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
QuickBooks experience is a plus, but training will be provided
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Highly organized and dependable
Good communication skills
Ability to learn quickly and take direction
Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally
