Front Desk Receptionist | Concierge Wellness Clinic

Rock Creek Wellness is a concierge-style, cash-pay medical practice in Leawood, Kansas, specializing in longevity, hormone optimization, and preventive health. We’ve been open for over 20 years. Our patients are here because they want to feel their best, live longer, and optimize their health, and they’re willing to invest in that.

Because of how we operate, the environment is calm, intentional, and professional. You won’t be fielding a ringing phone with a packed lobby and a line out the door. You’ll have the space to do your job well, build real relationships with patients, and be a true part of a team that respects what you bring to it.

We’re hiring a Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients and the operational backbone of our daily workflow. This is a full-time position, Monday through Thursday 9:00–5:00 and Friday 9:00–4:00. No weekends. No evenings.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be the person who sets the tone for every patient’s experience the moment they walk through the door or pick up the phone. Behind the scenes, you’ll keep the daily operations organized and running on time. Your responsibilities will include:

Greeting and checking in patients, preparing necessary forms and documents, and coordinating handoffs to providers and nursing staff
Managing inbound calls, voicemails, and emails with prompt, professional responses
Scheduling and confirming appointments, including making reminder calls and verifying that required labs are completed ahead of visits
Processing payments, managing billing transactions, and following up on declined charges
Uploading and organizing patient documents and records with accuracy and attention to detail
Monitoring the daily schedule and proactively communicating with patients when timing shifts
Keeping the front desk area organized and ensuring all end-of-day tasks are completed before you leave

This is not a “sit and answer the phone” position. You are the connective tissue between patients, providers, and clinical staff, and how well you do it directly affects how well everything else runs.

What We’re Looking For

We’re selective about who joins our team, and we’re willing to pay for the right person. This role requires someone who operates at a high level and takes genuine pride in the work.

Required:

Minimum 2 years of experience as a front desk coordinator, receptionist, or administrative professional in a professional office setting
A track record of stability. We’re looking for someone who commits to a role and grows with it, not someone with a history of short stops.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. You’ll be composing emails and messages to patients regularly, so grammatical precision matters.
Professional appearance and conduct at all times
Comfort with technology. We use EMR systems and various software that require above-average proficiency.

Preferred (but we’ll train the right person):

Experience in a medical office, wellness clinic, or healthcare-adjacent setting
Familiarity with appointment scheduling systems, payment processing platforms, or electronic medical records
Background in a concierge, boutique, or high-touch service environment
