JOB TITLE: L&D RN
PAY: $3,800 per week
LOCATION: The Bay Area!

Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse working the night shift! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process, ensuring safety, comfort, and positive outcomes. Your expertise will support families during one of their most memorable moments, delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives while working nights to accommodate flexible scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns in accordance with hospital protocols and best practices.
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs continuously using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic and Cerner.
Administer medications including pain management options like epidurals and assist with procedures such as suturing and sterile dressing changes.
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans.
Educate families on postpartum care, breastfeeding techniques, newborn care, and discharge instructions ensuring they are well-informed and supported.
Maintain accurate medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and hospital standards for medical records management.
Respond swiftly to obstetric emergencies utilizing aseptic technique, airway management skills, and acute pain management protocols.

Skills

Proven experience in labor and delivery nursing within a Level I or Level II trauma center or teaching hospital setting.
Strong knowledge of obstetrics procedures including fetal monitoring, IV infusion, catheterization, and suturing.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for documentation and patient tracking.
Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, and laboratory specimen collection/processing efficiently.
Excellent patient assessment skills combined with physiology knowledge specific to maternal-fetal health.
Skilled in emergency response techniques including basic life support (BLS), airway management, and trauma medicine.
Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized neonatal or postpartum care such as neonatal ventilator management or dementia care support.
