Property Services Assistant Manager

Job Description

City Center is seeking a Property Services Assistant Manager to lead and develop the Property Services Associates during the second and third shift. This role, reporting to the Property Services General Manager, oversees the daily operations of associates responsible for supporting residents, tenants, visitors, and staff across our downtown campus. The Property Services Manager ensures associates deliver exceptional customer service, maintain a visible presence, and support property operations through environmental upkeep, light facilities assistance, and emergency readiness.

The manager will act as a bridge between Property Management and front-line associates, ensuring smooth communication, consistent standards, and a welcoming, safe community environment.

The role’s typical shift will be 3PM-11PM Tuesday to Saturday, to shift as necessary.

Responsibilities:

Operations & Oversight

Oversee daily 2nd and 3rd shift patrols, lock/unlock schedules, and after-hours tenant/resident support.
Review incident and daily activity reports; ensure timely follow-up with Property Management.
Coordinate with Property Managers on building and tenant/resident needs.
Ensure amenity spaces, lobbies, walkways, and trash rooms are clean, safe, and accessible.
Monitor and support troubleshooting of access control and parking systems.
On weekdays, from 3pm to 6pm (or other times as appropriate), oversee rush hour entry and exit process to ensure residential and commercial tenants enjoy a high quality entry/exit experience.

Customer & Community Engagement

Serve as a high-visibility ambassador across the community, modeling excellent service.
Partner with Property Management to resolve tenant and resident concerns.
Support special events, move-ins, and after-hours activities.

Leadership & Team Management

Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise shift appropriate Property Services Associates.
Set service standards and ensure associates consistently deliver excellent customer service.
Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions.
Develop and implement shift checklists, patrol routes, and reporting processes.
Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and responsiveness.

Safety & Emergency Preparedness

Train associates on emergency response procedures.
Act as a point of contact during incidents, coordinating with emergency services and Property Management.
Ensure documentation and reporting are accurate and complete.
Continually evaluate risks and recommend improvements to enhance safety and service.

Technical, Physical & Schedule Requirements

Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods (6–8 hours with breaks), with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

3+ years of supervisory or management experience in property management, hospitality, facilities, or security services.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-first mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively under pressure.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with technology (reporting systems, access control, etc.).
Familiarity with security or building operations.
Must demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
