Position Overview
IDOC is looking to hire an Office Associate to serve as secretary to the Clinical Services Supervisor. In addition, this position will act as first and/or primary contact for Department questions and requests, receive, open, sort and distribute Clinical Services Department mail, keyboard a variety of documents and handle confidential and sensitive information, and serve as backup to the Visitor Coordinator. Essential Functions
Serves as secretary to the Clinical Services Supervisor.
As a receptionist, acts as first and/or primary contact for Department questions and requests.
Receives, opens, sorts, and distributes Clinical Services Department mail.
Keyboards various documents and handles confidential and sensitive material.
Serves as backup to the Visitor Coordinator.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and (2) years office experience.
Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at 45 words per minute.
Conditions of Employment
Requires the ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
