Duties

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Spot On, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
Recommend menu items and upsell additional courses or beverages to enhance the guest experience
Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering and processing payments
Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support smooth operations
Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements
Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, fostering positive relationships
Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines to uphold health standards in food handling and service
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and seamless communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams

Experience

Previous restaurant experience in a food service environment is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to increase sales while enhancing guest satisfaction
Experience with reservation management tools like OpenTable is a plus
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates memorable guest interactions
Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
Previous host/host or bussing experience is beneficial for understanding restaurant flow and guest needs
Strong communication skills combined with a passion for hospitality will help you thrive in this vibrant role
