Prep Cook | Join the Opening Team at The Majestic

We’re looking for detail-oriented, efficient prep cooks to join the team at The Majestic, a new Chinese-American restaurant in North Asheville.

Prep cooks are the backbone of every kitchen. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in doing things right, values consistency, and enjoys being an essential part of a hardworking team. You’ll play a key role in preparing recipes accurately and consistently to help set the kitchen up for success each day.

What You’ll Do

Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency, quality, and food safety
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, strictly adhering to health and safety standards
Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, ovens, and fryers.
Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen crewmembers to ensure consistency and quality
Receive, unload, store, and organize product deliveries
Help maintain an orderly kitchen through proper stock rotation and organization
Lift and move products up to 50 lbs
Take pride in your work and attention to detail

What We’re Looking For

Culinary professionals with at least 3 years of prep or line experience
Strong knife skills
Excellent time management skills. You will work morning shifts before the rest of the team arrives. The ability to multitask and manage your time independently is essential
Knowledge of food safety standards (ServSafe certification is a plus, but not required)
Strong organizational habits and attention to detail
