Full Job Description

Job Overview

Join Mango Cannabis as an Accountant and help support the financial operations of one of the fastest-growing cannabis retailers in the country. In this role, you'll prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, assist with month-end close, and help maintain accurate financial records while partnering with teams across the organization. We're looking for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accuracy, continuous improvement, and supporting business growth.

We're looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Accounting team at our Michigan Headquarters. If you enjoy reconciling financial data, improving processes, and working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Prepare and post journal entries
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with month-end and year-end close
Maintain accurate general ledger records
Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies
Prepare supporting schedules and financial reports
Support internal and external audits
Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory accounting as needed
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting
Collaborate with teams across the organization to support business operations

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2+ years of accounting experience
Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience working with accounting or ERP software
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in multi-entity accounting
Background in retail, cannabis, manufacturing, distribution, or other high-volume environments
Experience supporting audits
Familiarity with inventory accounting and financial reporting
