LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a manufacturing client in Southfield, Michigan that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to make an immediate impact within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Location: Southfield, MI
Schedule: Hybrid
Position Type: Contract/Temporary (4+ Months)
Compensation: $36-$43 per hour
Benefits: Healthcare benefits available through LHH

Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Analyze financial data and provide meaningful insights to management.
Support general ledger maintenance and ensure accuracy of financial records.
Prepare financial reports and assist with financial statement preparation.
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Assist with process improvements and accounting-related special projects.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
