Overview

Join our dynamic dental practice as a Dental Receptionist, where your energetic and welcoming presence will set the tone for an exceptional patient experience. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, handling medical and insurance documentation, and supporting the clinical team with administrative tasks. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth daily operations and foster a caring environment that patients trust and appreciate. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced healthcare setting while making a positive impact on patient care.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing excellent customer service at the front desk
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using Eaglesoft.
Verify patient insurance coverage, process payments, and handle dental billing and collections efficiently
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, including care plans, CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes
Manage phone communication with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers with professionalism and clear phone etiquette
Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts, updating electronic health records (EHR), and assisting with administrative support tasks such as typing reports or processing referrals

Qualifications

Proven experience in a dental office environment with strong clerical skills
Knowledge of dental insurance processes, and dental billing practices
Strong understanding of dental terminology, health information management, and clinical confidentiality policies
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle phone communication professionally and efficiently
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
