About Us

Rosedale Residential Group / Anchor Housing is a property management and investment company with a portfolio of residential properties across Kansas City, KS and Lawrence, KS. Our office is based in Kansas City, KS, and we're looking for a detail-oriented, reliable bookkeeper to help keep our financials organized and accurate.

About the Role

We're looking for a part-time bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial record-keeping for our property management and investment operations. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working independently, and experienced with small business or property management accounting.

Responsibilities

Record and categorize income and expenses across multiple properties/entities
Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
Process accounts payable (vendor invoices, contractor payments)
Track rent receipts and tenant payment records
Prepare monthly financial reports/summaries for ownership
Assist with budget tracking and variance reporting
Maintain organized digital records for tax and audit purposes
Coordinate with our CPA/tax preparer at year-end
Help with light payroll or owner distribution tracking (if applicable)

Qualifications

2+ years of bookkeeping experience (property management or real estate experience a plus)
Proficiency with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
Strong Excel skills
High attention to detail and comfort working with numbers
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Experience with AppFolio, Buildium, or similar property management software a plus
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred but not required

Hours & Structure

20 hours/week, flexible schedule
Hybrid — mix of in-office and remote work
Reports directly to ownership
