Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Technician specializing in concrete construction to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will champion safety and compliance standards across construction sites, ensuring that all activities adhere to OSHA regulations, NEC standards, and industry best practices. Your expertise in risk management and occupational health will help foster a safe working environment, minimize hazards, and promote a culture of safety excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects while supporting the well-being of our workforce through diligent safety oversight and compliance management.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive safety inspections on concrete construction sites, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions promptly.
Develop and enforce safety protocols aligned with OSHA, NEC, and local regulations to ensure ongoing compliance across all project phases.
Monitor construction activities to manage risks effectively, including reviewing work procedures and conducting site risk assessments.
Provide safety training sessions for workers on topics such as hazard recognition, proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and emergency response procedures.
Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incident reports, and compliance documentation using construction management software.
Collaborate with project managers and construction management teams to integrate safety measures into daily operations seamlessly.
Stay current with industry standards related to EHS (Environmental Health & Safety), workers' compensation policies, and OSHA updates to continuously improve safety practices.

Skills

Strong knowledge of risk management principles and occupational health standards within the construction industry.
Experience with OSHA regulations, NEC standards, workers' compensation procedures, and compliance management.
Proficiency in construction management software for recordkeeping and reporting purposes.
Solid understanding of construction site operations, safety protocols, and hazard mitigation strategies.
Excellent communication skills for delivering training sessions and coordinating with diverse teams.
Ability to perform detailed safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations effectively.
