Company Overview

Brooklyn Water Bagel, a breakfast/lunch fast casual concept is searching for an experienced Restaurant General Manager. Our mission is to create a welcoming atmosphere where customers can enjoy fresh, delicious food made with the finest ingredients. We are open 365 days a year, but we are closed 365 nights a year, meaning you will be home for dinner with your family every night!

Summary

We are seeking a "hands on" Restaurant General Manager to lead our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining our standards of excellence and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficiency and quality service.
Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to build a strong team.
Monitor and implement improvement strategies for financial performance, including cash handling and budgeting.
Implement marketing strategies to increase customer engagement and sales.
Ensure compliance with all legal matters, including but not limited to food safety, labor, EEOC, and other human resource issues.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
Grow guest engagement by creating a family environment in the restaurant.
Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues to maintain satisfaction.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Restaurant General Manager, preferably in quick service or fast casual service.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, retain, and develop staff.
Superior guest relationship building skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience and success in all areas of financial management.
Knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
Success in building catering sales opportunities.
Must be available to regularly work weekends and holidays, as that is when we are busiest.
