Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dental Office Manager/Insurance Coordinator to lead our dental practice with enthusiasm and precision. This pivotal role combines office management expertise with a deep understanding of dental insurance processes, ensuring smooth daily operations, exceptional patient experiences, and efficient financial workflows. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong leadership, comprehensive medical administrative support skills, and a passion for healthcare management. Duties

Oversee daily office operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to ensure optimal practice efficiency
Manage insurance claims processing, including verification, authorization, billing, and follow-up to maximize reimbursements
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare privacy standards
Supervise front desk staff and clinical support personnel, providing training and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for documentation, billing, and reporting purposes
Coordinate with insurance companies and managed care organizations to resolve claim issues promptly
Oversee budgeting, fiscal management, and financial reporting to maintain the practice’s financial health
Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations including JCAHO standards and OSHA requirements
Support human resources functions such as onboarding new team members and managing employee records
Implement clinic policies related to medical management, acute care protocols, and medical administrative procedures

Experience

Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare office administration with a strong background in medical office operations
Demonstrated supervisory experience leading teams within a clinical or dental setting
Extensive knowledge of dental insurance processes, managed care plans, and billing procedures
Proficiency with practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Epic is highly desirable
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance, medical terminology, and medical records management
Background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation
Experience working in clinics that utilize hospital or acute care protocols is advantageous
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations such as JCAHO standards and utilization management processes
