Full Job Description

We are a family-owned and operated automotive dealership looking for an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Assistant Office Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate has previous dealership office experience and is familiar with automotive accounting, title processing, and dealership administrative procedures.

This position plays a key role in the daily operations of our dealership office and works closely with management, sales, and service to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Process vehicle titles, registrations, lien payoffs, and DMV paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
Assist with dealership accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily reconciliations
Support month-end closing procedures and other accounting functions
Assist with payroll processing and general office administration
Answer dealership phone calls and provide professional customer service
Maintain organized dealership records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Work closely with the sales and service departments to ensure paperwork is complete and accurate
Support the Office Manager with daily operations and special projects
Assist in maintaining efficient dealership office processes

Qualifications

Previous automotive dealership office experience strongly preferred
Experience with dealership accounting, title work, and DMV procedures preferred
Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and schedule reconciliations
Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar) is a plus
Strong understanding of dealership paperwork and compliance requirements
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced dealership environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable, professional, and a team player with a positive attitude
