Join Our Team at Under the Sea Dentistry for Children!

Now Hiring: Accounts Receivable & Front Desk Coordinator

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and confident communicating with patients about insurance and financial responsibility? Do you enjoy seeing tasks through to completion and taking ownership of your work?

At Under the Sea Dentistry for Children, we are looking for an Accounts Receivable & Front Desk Coordinator who is committed to accuracy, accountability, and providing an exceptional patient experience.

This is much more than a traditional front desk position. You will play a vital role in the financial health of our practice by ensuring patient accounts are accurate, insurance claims are processed promptly, and every family receives professional, friendly service from check-out through final payment.

What You'll Do

Accounts Receivable

Submit dental insurance claims accurately and within 24 hours
Post insurance and patient payments
Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and resolve discrepancies
Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and unpaid balances
Work aging reports (30/60/90+ days)
Maintain accurate patient accounts and documentation
Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding account balances

Front Desk & Check-Out

Own the patient check-out process
Collect patient payments at the time of service
Explain patient balances and insurance estimates professionally
Schedule future appointments
Answer patient billing questions
Assist with phones and front desk coverage when needed
Help maintain an organized, efficient front office

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of dental front office experience
Experience with accounts receivable, insurance claims, and payment posting
Strong understanding of dental insurance and EOBs
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable discussing financial responsibility with patients
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with dental practice management software

Preferred Qualifications

Pediatric dental experience
Experience working with aging reports and insurance appeals
Knowledge of treatment estimates and patient financial policies
