BALANCE Eating Disorder Treatment Center™, a premium treatment center in Manhattan, seeks a highly motivated, passionate Program Therapist to join our expanding team!

About BALANCE

BALANCE has a 17-year legacy of transforming lives by promoting health, healing, and hope to our clients and their families. We serve adolescents and adults by providing all levels of outpatient care. We aim to create a transformative therapeutic experience based on our nutritional philosophy of intuitive eating using the All Foods Fit Model. At BALANCE, we employ diverse treatment modalities to help clients develop a neutral and peaceful relationship with food, body acceptance, and positive self-esteem.

The Position

The Primary Therapist position is an important part of treatment at BALANCE in individual and group therapy. A primary therapist’s duties include completing clinical assessments, case management, discharge and aftercare planning, providing therapeutic meal support, and coordinating care with other members of the client’s referring treatment team.

Responsibilities:

· Lead psychotherapy groups, including CBT/DBT, body image, and family groups.

· Lead Therapeutic meals, including pre-meal and post-meal processing groups.

· Individual Case Management and coordination.

· Attend all rounds, staff meetings, and group supervisions.

· Complete all required clinical notes.

· Conduct intake assessments as needed.

· Provide team coverage as needed

· Be on-call several nights a week on a rotating basis

· Additional responsibilities as requested

Passionate about eating disorders prevention and intervention
LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LMSW
Knowledge of HAES and Intuitive Eating
Dynamic, flexible, team player, takes initiative
Eager to grow with a quickly expanding company

Supervision
Compensation: $60,000 – $75,000 Annual Salary

*Compensation is based on experience and qualifications (leadership history, clinical experience, insurance knowledge, supervision experience, and the amount of eating disorder treatment experience).*
