Position Summary
The Senior Supply Chain Analyst supports IMCD’s warehouse and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) network by ensuring operational accuracy, data integrity, and timely resolution of issues across key supply chain processes. Serving as a central operations liaison, the role drives communication, alignment, and performance visibility between internal teams and external warehouse partners. Through analytical oversight and coordination, this position strengthens inventory reliability, financial accuracy, and overall supply chain efficiency.
Essential Job Functions
Analyze vendor invoices, validate against comparison and audit reports, collaborate with AP and suppliers to address discrepancies, and drive timely credit resolution to ensure accurate financial controls and cost accountability.
Serve as IMCD’s primary operational liaison with warehouse and 3PL partners by facilitating weekly and monthly meetings, preparing agendas and documentation, coordinating onsite physical inventories with third‑party auditors, completing monthly/quarterly 3PL warehouse scorecards, and overseeing training, guidance, and escalation support for the Warehouse Analyst.
Maintain accurate item attributes in JD Edwards (JDE) by coordinating updates, reclasses, and corrections with warehouse partners and the Supply Chain Master Data Analyst to ensure seamless downstream ordering, inbound processing, and fulfillment activities.
Review incoming nonconformance reports, collaborate with warehouse teams to resolve issues, manage credit requests, and maintain daily/weekly corrective‑action tracking to reduce recurring errors and improve vendor/warehouse performance.
Troubleshoot operational and EDI/ASN‑related issues, verify quantities with warehouse teams, resolve fulfillment or inventory discrepancies, conduct root‑cause analysis, recommend corrective actions, and monitor open orders to ensure smooth inbound and outbound processing while aligning cross‑functional teams on risks.
Manage creation, scheduling, assignment, and closure of work orders while coordinating blend dates, material allocations, Certificate of Analysis (COA) approvals, labeling, conversions, 3PL blend transfers, and cost allocations to support efficient and compliant production workflows.
Perform consignment corrections, including item updates, JDE reclasses, BP‑level adjustments, and month‑end cost corrections in partnership with Supply Chain and AP to support accurate financial and inventory reporting.
Assist with inbox‑based escalations, align teams on potential inbound/outbound risks, and maintain working knowledge of the full EDI/ASN flow to ensure accurate processing within 3PL environments.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
Experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in supply chain operations, warehouse coordination, logistics, or similar operational support roles.
Experience working with 3PL providers, warehouse teams, and/or inventory management environments.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong proficiency with ERP systems (JDE preferred), including item master data, inventory transactions, and work‑order processing.
Ability to analyze operational, inventory, and invoice data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Solid understanding of NCR processes, EDI/ASN workflows, and warehouse fulfillment operations.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across internal teams and external partners, including AP, Supply Chain, and 3PL contacts.
Strong problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, and escalation‑management abilities.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate, reliable operational records.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional coursework or certifications in supply chain, logistics, or data analytics.
Experience conducting physical inventories and supporting third‑party audit activities.
Familiarity with preparing or reviewing monthly/quarterly warehouse performance scorecards.
Advanced Excel or data‑analysis capabilities (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data validation, etc.).
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Combination of desk‑based work and occasional onsite warehouse visits.
Ability to travel periodically to 3PL warehouse locations for inventories, meetings, and operational reviews.
Ability to safely navigate warehouse environments, including walking, standing, and moving through storage areas during audits.
Frequent use of computers, ERP systems, spreadsheets, and digital collaboration tools.
