Bartender | Full-Time, Part-Time & Seasonal

The Shore and Country Club | Norwalk, CT

Join the Food & Beverage team at The Shore and Country Club, a private waterfront club overlooking Norwalk Harbor and Long Island Sound. We are seeking experienced, personable Bartenders with strong beverage knowledge, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to providing attentive, high-quality service to our members and guests.

We are currently hiring for full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions, with approximately 25–40 hours per week available. Weekend availability is required.

What You'll Do

Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with Club standards.
Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to members and guests.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service.
Work closely with servers, barbacks, culinary staff, and management to keep service running smoothly.
Assist with beverage inventory and communicate product needs and shortages.
Follow responsible alcohol service, safety, and sanitation standards.
Complete opening, closing, restocking, and side-work responsibilities.
Provide beverage service for dining, special events, banquets, and Club functions.
Participate in training and opportunities to expand beverage and product knowledge.

What We're Looking For

1–2+ years of bartending experience in a restaurant, club, hotel, or similar hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
A friendly, polished, and hospitality-focused approach.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Ability to stay organized and attentive in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with POS systems and responsible alcohol service practices.
Experience in a private club, upscale restaurant, hotel, or other high-end hospitality setting is a plus.
TIPS or equivalent responsible alcohol service certification required.

Schedule & Physical Requirements

Candidates have the ability to work a flexible schedule, but must be available to work weekends, evenings, and extended hours during busy events and peak service periods.

This is an active hospitality position that requires standing and walking for extended periods, bending and reaching, and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
