Full Job Description

Overview
As a Hostess/Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. You will play a crucial role in guest relations and customer service, contributing to the overall hospitality experience within our restaurant.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating process efficiently.
Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times to guests accurately.
Assist in managing reservations and special requests to enhance guest experiences.
Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area throughout service.
Utilize POS system for managing reservations and seating arrangements effectively.

Skills

A strong background in restaurant or food service environments is preferred, but not necessary.
Excellent guest relations skills with a focus on customer service and hospitality.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members.
Experience with SpotOn POS or similar systems is a plus but not required.
A friendly demeanor with the ability to help create a positive dining atmosphere.
Strong multitasking abilities to manage seating, waitlists, and guest interactions simultaneously.
