Full Job Description

Job Overview: The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience, enjoys working in a busy restaurant environment, and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively.

Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to:

· Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items

· Prepare foods per menu specifications, allowing for variations to the guests’ expectations

· Maintain accurate food inventories

· Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures

· Consistently check quality of ingredients

· Rotate stock items as per established procedures

· Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts

· Operates various kitchen appliances such as blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer

· Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift

· Collaborate with kitchen staff regarding stock, presentation, and temperature of food

· Regular and reliable attendance

· Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness

Qualifications/Experience/Education

· 2+ years’ experience as a cook in the restaurant industry

· Ability to read and follow standardized recipes

· Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures

· Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment

· ServeSafe Certification preferred
