Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support in bankrutcy and personal injury ensuring the smooth operation of our legal services. Your proactive approach and strong communication skills will help facilitate efficient case management, legal research, document preparation, and client interactions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal support expertise within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with case management, including organizing files, maintaining document management systems, and tracking deadlines.
Conduct legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development and legal analysis.
Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision.
Manage client communications, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings to ensure seamless workflow.
Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining strict adherence to privacy protocols.
Support litigation processes through document review, discovery management, and civil litigation support activities.
Utilize legal software such as PCLaw and iManage for billing, document organization, and case tracking.
Perform administrative duties including data entry, filing, transcription, and maintaining procedural law records.

Skills

Extensive knowledge of various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, and general & commercial litigation.
Proven experience with legal case management systems and document review tools.
Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw for in-depth legal analysis.
Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with clarity and professionalism.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with familiarity with document management systems like iManage.
Effective organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional client communication abilities combined with professional phone etiquette.
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while supporting attorneys with procedural compliance.
Paralegal experience or prior law office support experience is highly desirable to excel in this role.
