TITLE: SC Program Coordinator

TYPE: Non-Exempt

SUPERVISOR: Program Director

Program Goal

To help older adults to experience healthy aging in their home and community.

Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Program Director, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of activities for seniors in accordance with DFTA contracted levels and performance standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and organize all activities required by DFTA (recreational, cultural, education workshops/presentation).
Conduct activities as needed.
Assist in coordinating special programs and events.
Oversee customer participation in activities.
Prepare monthly calendar of events and/or newsletter.
Conduct client registration/maintain and update client files.
Recruit, supervise, and coordinate activities of senior volunteers.
Input participant and attendance information in STARS / PEER-PLACE database.
Prepare monthly attendance and activity reports.
Maintain program files.
Maintain customer files.
Prepare and maintain equipment inventory.
Represent agency in community and interagency activities as assigned.
Other tasks as assigned by the program director.
Oversee program in the absence of the Program Director.

Qualification

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with at least one year of experience in the social service field preferably with senior population.
Associates degree with two years of experience in the social service field with senior population.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
