Full Job Description

Role:

Minimum of 5 Years Catering Experience in a Management Role

The Operations Manager should possess proven prior knowledge of the event and catering industry. Knowledge of time management of staffing and catering operations, including delivery dispatch experience a must. Our fast-paced environment requires sharp, poised, presentable and well-spoken individuals with a flair for creativity and grace under fire. Our hands-on approach is creative and elaborate! We display a commitment to the highest level of customer service excellence to effectively deliver our vision to our clients.

Your role and responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:

· Acting as Operations Manager to the FOH and BOH (Kitchen) staff to ensure the Business' success;

· Ensuring that the Executive Chef/Manager of the BOH has drafted and prepared Menu Recipes (such Recipes to be kept in written form);

· Working and collaborating with Management on purchasing all equipment for the Business;

· Using best efforts to comply with, the Department of Health codes;

· Assisting the sales team with selling all catering services provided by the Business and growing the Business's sales above the base level;

· Assisting the General Manager with overseeing the overall operations of the Business, including but not limited to the following:

a. Maintaining high standards of service and customer satisfaction;

b. Maintaining all the assets of the Business (which includes kitchen equipment and utensils, appliances, furniture, vehicles, grounds and building fixtures) in good and working condition- all at Management's cost and expense;

· Oversight of delivery dispatch of all catering deliveries.

· Inventory Management and Ordering for all dry goods and office supplies, and assistance/oversight of food ordering to the extent necessary/required.

· Oversight and responsibility for pack-out process (defined as ensuring all food/utensils/cooking equipment are packed and sent out and delivery/party staff know where they have to go/be and at what time)

Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a catering or culinary environment, preferably in an off-premise catering company.
Strong knowledge of food handling practices, kitchen operations, and food safety regulations.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing teams effectively.
Familiarity with budgeting processes related to catering services is highly desirable.
Culinary education or relevant certifications are a plus.
