Full Job Description

Our growing Amherst Optometry practice is looking for a hard-working, focused & friendly staff member with great attention to detail to join our professional atmosphere. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated with an upbeat personality who can work as a team to ensure that all patients have an exceptional experience in our office. The new employee must love working with the public and be genuinely positive and enthusiastic.

Primary responsibilities: Check patient eligibility prior to exams, answering busy telephone lines, scheduling appointments, welcoming patients as they enter the office and providing them with any assistance necessary to provide great customer service. Billing insurance plans for examinations and materials and posting statements to our practice management accounting system. We will train the necessary eye care skills if the new employee already has the commitment to customer service and has an outgoing personality.

Experience Requirements:

Customer service experience

Medical office experience preferred

Insurance experience preferred

Electronic Medical Records experience preferred but not required.

Availability Needed:
