Full Job Description

EHS Supervisor - Food Manufacturing

Location: Jerome, ID
Compensation: $100,000 to $130,000 annually

A well-established global food manufacturing company is hiring an EHS Supervisor for its snack and nutrition bar production facility in Jerome, Idaho. This role leads health, safety, and environmental programs at the plant level, working to reduce incident rates, strengthen regulatory compliance, and improve the facility's environmental performance.

Schedule: Full-time, on-site at the Jerome, ID facility

Compensation: $100,000 to $130,000 annually, based on experience. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

What You'll Do

This role coordinates and oversees implementation of all Health and Safety programs and processes across the plant, ensuring facilities, procedures, and hazard assessments meet applicable regulations. The Supervisor participates in incident investigations, drives root cause analysis, and follows up on corrective actions to close non-conformances and prevent recurrence. The role also provides Health and Safety expertise for new projects and change management initiatives, maintains an up to date incident reporting system in partnership with the site safety committee, and develops technical guidance programs to identify and eliminate physical hazards. The Supervisor builds working relationships with plant leaders and managers to drive engagement in safety programs, and partners with regional teams and standard owners to support the site's continuous improvement and compliance objectives within the facility's pillar-based management system.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field
Experience in Environmental Health and Safety within a food manufacturing environment
Completed EHS training in areas such as OSHA and EPA regulatory frameworks
Experience with safety and/or environmental technical standards
Experience with regulatory reporting and compliance processes, including ISO standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work across all levels of an organization

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the snack food, bakery, or nutrition bar manufacturing segment
Familiarity with ISO 14001 (environmental) or ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety) frameworks
Experience with pillar-based continuous improvement systems (e.g., TPM, IWS, or similar plant management frameworks)
State-specific environmental regulatory experience relevant to Idaho (e.g., IDEQ)
Root cause analysis certification (e.g., TapRooT, Six Sigma)
