POSITION SUMMARY
As an Journeyman Industrial Equipment Electrician for Mosaix Mechanical your primary responsibility is routing, wiring, and testing electrical control systems integrated into custom stainless steel food processing equipment. The Equipment Electrician wires, tests, and troubleshoots electrical and automation components for heavy food manufacturing systems. This position focuses on the assembly of industrial control panels, component integration (such as motors and sensors), and field installation support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Control Panel Fabrication: Assemble, interconnect, and label low and high-voltage electrical control sub-panels using Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs.
- Equipment Wiring: Wire equipment-mounted devices, including conveyor motors, solenoid valves, pneumatic switches, and proximity sensors.
- Schematic Interpretation: Read, analyze, and build electrical systems directly from complex engineering blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams.
- Conduit and Routing: Bend conduit and pull wire cleanly along stainless steel frames, ensuring compliance with both local codes and food-safety sanitary guidelines.
- Quality and Testing: Run diagnostic tests on completed units using instruments like multimeters to verify safety, proper voltage levels, and design specifications.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with engineering technicians, mechanical assemblers, and sanitary welders to guarantee seamless machine building.
- Field Installation: Provide support for on-site plant remodeling, machinery integration, and equipment start-ups when required.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates on job sites in open environments and elements, mainly food processing and manufacturing facilities which can be wet & noisy. This role routinely uses heavy equipment, mechanic, electrical, pneumatic, and welding tools, computers, photocopiers, and cell phones. Frequent contact with contractors, vendors, and community members is expected.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience/License: Licensed journeyman w/active license. Minium of 5 years in Industrial electrical work, with specific experience in panel building or machinery manufacturing
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent; Electrical License, a technical certificate and/or Associate degree in Electrical Technology
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, working knowledge of AC/DC circuits, and basic PLC troubleshooting familiarity.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shifts and travel out of town occasionally for field service and equipment installation Proficiency in MS Office and basic PC skills
- Ability to work various hours and shifts and work and travel to job sites and work overtime when required
- Ability to effectively read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrated ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-workers, departments, preferably customers and vendors as well.
- Various predictive maintenance equipment, shop equipment and tools, hand tools etc.
- Office equipment includes: computers, printers, fax machines, copiers, telephones, etc. Software including: Microsoft Office and CMMS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master electrician's license
- Electrician's license in multiple states
- Background in industrial estimating/job costing
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to move throughout the job sites transporting tools and other items weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Written and spoken communication skills require the ability to speak, hear and see.
- Critical thinking and sound judgment are needed to follow legal processes and hospital policies.
