Full Job Description

Job Overview

RUBIKK is seeking a dynamic and strategic Procurement Manager (For its customer, a leading manufacturer of soap bars) to lead our procurement operations and drive value across our supply chain. In this pivotal role, you will oversee procurement activities, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with procurement regulations. Your expertise will help optimize sourcing strategies, streamline purchasing processes, and support manufacturing and logistics functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence organizational efficiency and contribute to our growth by managing procurement categories effectively and fostering strong vendor partnerships.

Responsibilities

· Negotiate and implement optimal pricing strategies for raw/packaging materials, contracted services and operating supplies

· Provides leadership for driving key Procurement initiatives

· Manage the Procurement, Materials Management and Warehouse/Logistics Department for the facility

· Direct daily department operations and provide leadership, coaching and guidance to the department

· Manage/develop a supplier base, including assessment of capabilities, capacities, cost structure, and future plans

· Manage key supplier relationships to insure company is receiving optimal value

· Manage and assess supplier compliance, quality and performance.

· Manage/direct purchasing orders to ensure the timely receipt of materials so that supply meets any and all demand requirements

· Frequent interaction with internal and external executives is expected

· Evaluate, develop, implement, and maintain ERP and WMS systems to support business strategies in relationship to materials and warehouse management

· Responsible for administrative duties related to talent and budget management

Requirements

· Meet the legal minimum age requirement

· Authorized to work in the United States

· 5 years of experience negotiating purchasing contracts and related purchasing and materials management experience with demonstrated knowledge of contract law as it applies to the procurement process and supply chain management

· 5 years of experience managing 3 or more individuals in a purchasing, materials management and logistics environment· Strong computer skills in computer applications such as relational databases, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access), Great Plains or SAP PMM, and other related software

· Strong negotiations skills

· Strong problem solving capability

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Strong planning and organizing skills

· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

· Strong knowledge of market including suppliers, capacity, competitive environment and cost drivers

· Proven results in leading cost-reduction initiatives

· Proven team development and performance management skills

· Proven ability to independently manage processes that include: RFP, tenders, reporting and analysis

Qualification

· Purchasing experience in a consumer products or manufacturing environment

· 7 years of experience negotiating purchasing contracts and related purchasing experience

· 7 years of experience managing 3 or more individuals in a purchasing, materials management and logistics environment

· 5 years of experience in logistics

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
