Full Job Description

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician ensures all equipment is running as it should through in-depth troubleshooting and repairing if needed. No day will be the same. You may be called on to replace lightbulbs one day to installing a new electrical motor within the manufacturing process the next day. You will also be asked to see how equipment can be modified to increase efficiency. The Maintenance Technician will be working as a team with other employees and office staff to resolve issues.

Responsibilities:

· Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings and testing equipment

· Repair equipment, fixture systems, conveyors and other equipment within the facility, office and warehouses

· Diagnose, lubricate, modify and operate equipment

· Maintain industrial control systems

· Work independently and unsupervised at times as well as with team members to complete repairs timely and safely

· Keep a detailed maintenance log for all equipment service history and/or repairs

· Report repairs throughout the work day and advise on parts needed for the repair. If the parts are in stock, document the parts used and complete or generate any work orders needed for job completion or historical record keeping.

· Understand and follow all plant safety rules which include safe lifting and machine operation. PPE should be used when required.

· End each day knowing that you made a difference

Requirements:

· 1-2 years of experience within an industrial setting. Preferably a manufacturing environment.

· Must have proof of a valid driver license and reliable transportation. Ability to operate fork lifts and other motorized machinery a must.

· Proven leader with the ability to oversee a team both supervised and unsupervised

· Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with CAD is a plus, but not required

· Effective communication of issues and solutions to team members and office staff

· Skilled use of shop equipment such as power tools, bench grinders and hand tools

· Welding both MIG and TIG applications

· Advanced knowledge in both 460/240, Single-Phase/Three-phase electrical setup, diagnosing, repairing and or upgrading services if required

· Strong attendance history required

· Knowledge of industrial furnace operation and construction with the ability to diagnosis and repair if needed

Experience with the following technologies:

- Variable frequency drives and servo motors

- 5S, Lean Manufacturing

- Conveyor systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
