Overview

Join our dynamic dental practice as a Dental Office Business Assistant, where your energetic and detail-oriented approach will help streamline daily operations and enhance patient experiences. In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our administrative team, ensuring smooth communication, efficient scheduling, and adherence to health regulations. Your proactive attitude and excellent organizational skills will contribute to a welcoming environment for both patients and staff, supporting the overall success of our practice.

Duties

Manage patient appointments, confirmations, and rescheduling using patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Handle incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and directing inquiries appropriately
Support medical administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate patient records in compliance with health regulation policies
Assist with billing processes, including verifying insurance coverage, processing claims, and understanding health insurance policies
Maintain patient confidentiality by following strict privacy protocols and safeguarding sensitive information
Coordinate with dental professionals to ensure timely patient flow and smooth office operations
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions, managing client communication effectively, and fostering a positive office atmosphere

Requirements

Prior experience in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication tasks
Knowledge of health regulation policies related to patient privacy and medical record management
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for efficient data handling
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care settings
Excellent phone communication skills combined with professional client interaction abilities
Ability to type accurately and efficiently to support administrative workflows
Experience with health insurance processes and billing procedures is a plus
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations
