Full Job Description

Description:

Supports the HR Department in doing a variety of HR admin duties which includes office support, front desk admin, and other clerical admin duties. Primary backup when other HR assistants are absent as well as to the front desk.

Essential Functions/Duties:

Primary backup coverage for the front desk during lunch breaks and time off. Duties include but not limited to answering phones, processing mail, greeting visitors, maintaining conference rooms, etc.
Serve as the HR Recruiter, working closely with hiring managers to understand job requirements, future hiring needs for each location, and candidate tracking.
Assist with updating job descriptions, posting job openings, closing job postings, and conducting phone interviews when needed.
Schedule interviews and coordinate communication with candidates and hiring managers.
Communicate with new hires, set-up with onboarding and ensure all onboarding documents are completed accurately.
Participate in job fairs when needed to include communication with event employees, gathering supplies, set up/break down at event, and interacting with potential candidates.
Assist with auditing and maintaining employee records.
Assist with but not limited to, conducting background checks, verifying social security numbers, employee changes, etc.
Prepare and maintain a variety of reports such as but not limited to hiring sources, turnover, certifications, etc. for each location.
Assist in review, audit, and approval of timecards for bi-weekly payroll cycle.
Review and retain safety committee meeting records for each location.
Assist in other HR admin tasks when other HR assistants are absent.
Other duties as assigned by Director of Human Resources.

Requirements:

Required Experience: Proven background in office administrative environment. Previous payroll and HR office admin duties are highly preferred. Proven background in handling confidential information and processing information that is sensitive in nature. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to use office email system, MS Word, Excel and other computer bases software.

Required Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent.

Other Requirements: This job requires dealing with a high degree of confidential information and being accurate in calculations, reporting and overall processing. Must be able to process and handle information with high regard to not share or divulge to co-workers, friends, or outside relationships. Information is to only be shared with those that are in a senior management position. Open communication with Director of HR and ownership is required.
