Job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing timely financial information to management. The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in our financial operations, working closely with the accounting team to ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations.

Responsibilities:

- Perform general bookkeeping tasks such as recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable, including processing payments and ensuring timely payment to vendors.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records using financial software.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure that our financial records match our bank statements.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Perform technical accounting tasks, including identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies.
- Provide support to the accounting team and other departments as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.

Skills:

- Strong background in corporate accounting and financial operations.
- Proficient in financial software.
- Experience with accounts payable and technical accounting tasks.
- Ability to accurately and efficiently perform bookkeeping tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in 10-key typing and able to maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Familiarity with account reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
