Position Title: Line Cook
Location: Fresca Peruvian Restaurant
Reports To: Executive Chef / Kitchen Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. The Line Cooks will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to Fresca's recipes and quality standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service.
Maintain consistency, quality, and portion control for every dish.
Ensure timely preparation of food during lunch and dinner service.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
Monitor food inventory and communicate shortages to management.
Properly store, label, and rotate food products using FIFO procedures.
Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked throughout shifts.
Assist with prep work, cleaning duties, and kitchen closing procedures.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Support team members as needed during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant kitchen experience preferred (1+ years ideal).
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience with Latin American or Peruvian cuisine is a plus, but not required.
