JOB DETAILS:

SALARY: $25 - $40 per hour

Darya Fomina, the founder of Darya Fomina, Inc., brings over two decades of experience as an Atelier Constructor of Costumes, Master Seamstress, and Lead Draper. Trained in Eastern Europe, Darya has earned accolades from Costume Designers, Costume Shoppes, Movie and Theatrical Directors, Producers, Actors, and Musicians for her impeccable craftsmanship and timely delivery of stunning costumes in the entertainment industry. Now, she specializes in professional alterations for Bridal Gowns and Formal Dresses in Southern California, Orange County.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a skilled Alterations Sewing Operator to join our team at our Spectrum Court Atelier in Irvine, CA. Responsibilities include:

Ensuring perfect fit through custom modifications and resizing of garments.

Handling all sewing tasks from machine sewing to hand finishing, cutting, bustling, and pressing.

ABOUT YOU:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years specializing in Bridal and Evening Formal Gown alterations.

Skills: Expert in handling delicate materials like lace, bead work, silks, and tulle.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced sewing skills with experience on Industrial Sewing Machines

Knowledge: Deep understanding of garment construction and fit.

Communication: Maintain professional communication with the owner.

Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a team setting.

Availability: Ready to work 8-hour shifts, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sew and fit garments as assigned by the owner in a timely manner.

Perform all sewing tasks including machine sewing, hand finishing, cutting, bustling, and pressing.

Accurately measure, mark, and customize garments according to Darya Fomina, Inc. standards.

Manage individual projects from start to finish, following detailed alteration instructions.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Sewing Test: Candidates must pass a sewing and alteration proficiency test using Industrial Sewing Machines and provided wedding or formal gown.

SALARY RANGE:

Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $40.00

Annualized Salary: $52,000 - $83,200 based on full-time (40 hours/week), though actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, and knowledge.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
