Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. This role is essential in supporting the organization’s financial operations by managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of financial data. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, familiarity with multiple financial software platforms, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in corporate and governmental accounting practices within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions using diverse accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Workday.
Manage account reconciliation processes, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to ensure financial accuracy.
Handle invoice processing, payment scheduling, and vendor management.
Maintain records of financial transactions, perform 10-key typing for data entry accuracy, and support bookkeeping activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting workflows and ensure adherence to internal controls.

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel data analysis and spreadsheet management.
Knowledge of technical accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation.
Excellent numeracy skills combined with strong attention to detail for accurate data entry and account analysis.
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high levels of professionalism.
Effective communication skills for customer service interactions with vendors and internal teams.
Demonstrated experience in accounts payable/receivable management, payroll processing, budget preparation, and financial reporting.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
