The Opportunity

As an Alterations Specialist at Tarzana Cleaners, you will be the expert customers trust to make their garments fit and look their best. You will work on a wide range of fabrics and styles, from everyday wear to delicate and special pieces, combining technical skill with personalized service.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced alterations professional who wants steady work, the chance to increase earnings based on output, and a stable, respectful environment where quality and customer satisfaction come first.

What You'll Do

Perform high-quality garment alterations and pressing in line with Tarzana Cleaners' service standards and guidelines.
Manage your daily workload efficiently, completing assigned alterations on time and addressing customer needs promptly.
Consult with customers to understand their fit preferences and clearly explain options, timelines, and expected results.
Ensure punctuality for client appointments and maintain clear, professional communication with both customers and team members.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while properly using sewing, pressing, and alterations equipment.

What Success Looks Like

Consistently complete alterations and pressing tasks on schedule with minimal rework and strong customer satisfaction feedback.
Build a loyal base of repeat customers who request you by name for their tailoring and alterations needs.
Demonstrate reliable attendance, on-time appointments, and effective coordination with counter staff and other team members.
Quickly learn and follow Tarzana Cleaners' processes, quality standards, and safety practices, contributing to a smooth-running operation.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in sewing, garment alterations, and pressing across a variety of fabrics and garment types.
Strong communication skills with the ability to listen to customer requests and explain recommendations clearly.
Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing, pressing, and alterations equipment, along with flexibility in working hours based on business needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly pay range: $20$25 per hour plus 50% commission per completed alteration (potential to earn $700+ per week depending on output and availability).
Referral bonus program.
Holiday pay.
