Job Overview

Meadow Woodfire Grill is a prime steakhouse/fine dining New American restaurant with an impeccable reputation for providing memorable dining experiences through culinary excellence. We are looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef with a proven history of execution and consistency to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all stations of the kitchen. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in menu execution, inventory control, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. This role is perfect for someone who is looking to further their career with an organization where future advancement opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards.
Manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring smooth workflow and effective communication among team members.
Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels to minimize waste.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menu items that reflect current food trends and customer preferences.
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
Monitor food quality during preparation and service, making adjustments as necessary to meet guest expectations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Experience in kitchen management, including team leadership and training.
Familiarity with inventory control processes and food management practices.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
A passion for food service and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Bartending experience is a plus but not required.
