Full Job Description

Worthington Products is a small business located in East Canton, Ohio. We design and supply floating barrier systems used at dams, hydropower plants, reservoirs, and other waterway facilities.

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to support our office, sales, and customer follow-up activities.

This is a hands-on office role. The right person will be comfortable answering phones, entering orders, helping prepare quotes, maintaining customer records, running reports, creating spreadsheets, and following up on open items.

This is also a small-business office environment. We are busy, and priorities can shift during the day. The right person will be organized enough to keep track of their work, flexible enough to adjust when needed, and comfortable asking questions when something is unclear.

This position requires accuracy, organization, clear communication, and a willingness to help where needed.

This is a fully onsite role located in East Canton, Ohio. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance or be willing to commute to the office.

What You Will Do

75% of this job will be dedicated to bookkeeping; 25% will be front-office facing
Enter and review vendor bills, customer invoices, payments, deposits, and related transactions
Help maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable follow-up
Reconcile information between purchase orders, sales orders, invoices, bills, and payments
Run QuickBooks reports as needed
Help track job-related accounting details
Review transactions for accuracy and completeness
Assist with filing, documentation, and recordkeeping
Help identify errors, missing information, or inconsistencies
Follow up with coworkers, vendors, or customers when accounting details need clarification

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who:
Has working experience with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise or strong QuickBooks Desktop experience
Understands fundamental accounting principles
Knows the difference between debits and credits
Pays close attention to details
Is comfortable reviewing numbers and looking for inconsistencies
Can follow accounting procedures and ask questions when something is unclear
Keeps information organized and current
Handles confidential information appropriately
Communicates clearly and professionally
Takes ownership of assigned accounting tasks
Is patient enough to investigate problems instead of ignoring them

Helpful Experience

Prior experience in any of the following areas would be helpful:
Small-business bookkeeping
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
Accounts payable
Accounts receivable
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Job costing or project-related accounting
Inventory-related accounting
Sales orders, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor bills
Excel spreadsheets and basic formulas

Basic Requirements

Prior bookkeeping or accounting support experience

Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work on-site at our office in East Canton, Ohio
Ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
