Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. In this energetic role, you will utilize your clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine individual needs.
Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication management.
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Conduct specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including urinary and vascular), tube feeding management, and sterile processing when applicable.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in acute care settings like ICU, trauma centers, or emergency rooms to deliver timely interventions.
Manage complex cases involving chronic conditions such as cardiac issues, infectious diseases, geriatrics, or behavioral health needs while adhering to NCQA standards.
Provide patient education on health coaching topics including pain management, medication administration, post-discharge care planning, and disease prevention strategies.

Requirements

Valid nursing license (RN) in good standing with relevant state licensing boards.
Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU, or long-term care facilities.
Strong proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms; familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding and medical documentation standards.
Demonstrated skills in critical care procedures like ventilator management, airway management, trauma medicine, neonatal resuscitation procedures (NRP), or dialysis when applicable.
Ability to perform advanced clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, aseptic technique, lab specimen collection/processing and triage assessments.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology coupled with experience in pain management, infection control protocols, and emergency response procedures.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring specialized care such as dementia or memory care is highly valued.
