What you'll own

The foundation

Full-cycle bookkeeping across multiple entities: AP, AR, data entry, and daily transaction flow in QuickBooks
General ledger and balance sheet reconciliations — accurate, complete, on time
Journal entries, month-end and year-end close, and audit-readiness
Payroll processing and compliance (ADP, Gusto, When I Work)

The strategy

Multi-entity P&L management and consolidated reporting
Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow strategy
Financial modeling that informs real decisions — hiring, ad spend, acquisitions
Coordination with fractional CPAs, tax advisors, and outside providers

The megaphone

Present financial results clearly to leadership, the team, and our community
Partner directly with marketing to connect spend to return
Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the owner and Chief of Staff

What we're looking for

Required

Proven accounting or bookkeeping experience in a corporate or public accounting environment
Strong QuickBooks proficiency (Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft experience also welcome)
Command of the fundamentals: debits and credits, journal entries, reconciliations, GL management
Payroll systems experience (ADP, Gusto, or similar) and full AP/AR ownership
Working knowledge of GAAP
Advanced Excel — you build the model, not just fill in the cells
Precision, discretion, and total integrity with confidential financial data

Preferred

Multi-entity accounting experience
Private equity, holding company, or small-business background
A confident presenter — someone who can stand in front of a room and make the numbers land
