Kitchen Manager – Jayna Gyro Sacramento

Location: Sacramento, CA

Jayna Gyro is looking for an experienced, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our fast-paced kitchen. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a high-volume environment, is passionate about food quality, and is committed to building and developing a reliable team.

Responsibilities

Oversee all daily kitchen operations
Lead, train, coach, and supervise kitchen staff
Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
Maintain recipe and preparation standards
Create and manage kitchen schedules while controlling labor costs
Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and vendor relationships
Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and maintain profitability
Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
Work closely with the General Manager to improve kitchen performance, speed of service, and guest satisfaction
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of kitchen management, lead cook, or sous chef experience
Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure
Knowledge of inventory management, food costing, and labor control
ServSafe Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
