Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Baker/Pastry Team Member to join our amazing team. We are looking for a talented pastry professional to add to our already stellar kitchen crew for morning production at our bustling downtown bakery. Ideal candidate would have some commercial kitchen experience, a culinary/baking background, a passion for a perfect product, excellent references, a positive attitude, and a hard working mentality. Prior baking experience or work in scratch baking environment a plus!

Duties

Assist in the preparation and production of baked goods, including confections, pastries, and cakes.
Bulk production of cake batters, buttercreams, cookies, and pastries.
Measure ingrediants with care and follow established recipes for our menu items daily.
Frost cupcakes for cafe case daily and custom orders for clients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety standards.
Work seamlessly with our kitchen team to meet daily needs in a positive workspace.
Support pastry team by contributing creative ideas to enhance product offerings.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when reordering is necessary.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry or culinary field is preferred but not required.
Strong team skills with a friendly demeanor.
Knowledge of food safety practices is important.
Basic skills in food preparation and production techniques.
Experience in scratch baking a plus; willingness to learn is key.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
