The environment blends the pace of the PICU/Pediatric ICU with the rigor of Critical Care—complex respiratory and hemodynamic management, post-procedure stabilization, and evolving care plans that demand precise coordination. In this leadership capacity—often recognized as a PICU Assistant Nurse Manager, Pediatric ICU Assistant Nurse Manager, or Assistant Nursing Manager PICU—you will report to the Nurse Manager and serve as a visible, steady resource for bedside teams. Primary responsibilities include staffing oversight and workflow optimization, charge support, clinical coaching, quality and safety rounding, performance feedback, and partnership on unit-based projects and readiness efforts. You’ll collaborate closely with intensivists, pediatric subspecialists, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, case management, social work, child life, and ancillary services to ensure seamless, family-centered care.
